Electrolab,
established in 1984, manufactures pharmaceutical testing equipment and
peristaltic pumps which are used in several industries. At Electrolab,
customers are provided with equipment that is simple to operate,
maintenance-free and saves the user valuable time and money,
particularly in research and development and production departments.
The product list
includes dissolution tester, disintegration tester, friabilator, tap
density tester, electromagnetic sieve shaker, and peristaltic pumps. The
company exports 35% of its products to the regions of USA, Canada,
South Africa, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Central America, Sweden,
Switzerland, U.K., Hong Kong and Japan.
The company has a
well-trained production team supported by in-house CAD, software,
hardware design engineers and well established vendors to support
the production target. The highly skilled and professional management of
the company understands the importance of quality and timely delivery.
It is the expertise and experience of the company’s management that has
enabled so many companies to achieve their goals on time and within
the budget. These attributes, together with a flexible production process

the technical capability to support after sales service. With over 30
distributors and agents serving worldwide, Electrolab has made a
prominent stand for itself in the domestic and international market.
Press Release of New Product Launch ELECTROLAB announces successful Online Connectivity with HPLC
The drug
development and analysis in today’s pharma works in conjunction with dissolution tester and identification of drugs is with Analytical
Instruments, viz. Spectrophotometry, HPLC, etc. The amount of actives
released may be determined by UV-Vis Spectrophotometry for a single
component, or by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) for
multiple components or when there is interference due to the excipients.
Electrolab is a
leading manufacturer of Dissolution Testers, driven with the vision of
providing quality products at economical price and meeting the current
market demands. Electrolab keeps on developing its products by adding
new features and looking into today's demand for automation.
Electrolab is the
first Asian Company that proudly announces the Online Connectivity of
ELECTROLAB Dissolution Tester with HPLC of Agilent & Waters.
Connectivity software is designed by ICALIS DATA systems. The first Asian
Dissolution Tester manufacturer has achieved this connectivity with
ICALIS Data & Control System. Currently, HPLC is more widely used as
a separation technique for multicomponent drugs and product development
towards lower dosage forms. HPLC is also suitable for non UV absorbing
API. Online HPLC automates dissolution testing and pharmaceutical
companies have automated testing options when working with solid dosage
forms. Dissolution testing using HPLC ensures high-quality results.
IDI is a Dissolution
Software that automates the entire dissolution, sampling analysis
calculation and reporting process. The software gives you the complete
real time collection, dilution, injection and measurement, assured
sample collection at the correct times. Dissolution software automates
the entire dissolution, sample analysis and reporting process. The
built-in relational database gives you the power to organize, store,
and retrieve data quickly and easily with full 21 CFR Part 11
compliance.
The module uses a
computer-controlled array of syringe pumps to take dissolution samples
from single or dual 6- or 8-vessel dissolution baths simultaneously,
and transfers the samples into the sample collector where you can
dilute the sample and then inject directly into the HPLC.
FDA requires
pharmaceutical companies to determine the dissolution rate (the amount
of active released vs. time) of all solid dosage forms during the
development of the formulation and as part of quality control during
production.
On-line high
performance liquid chromatography is used to monitor a steady state
reaction, with 197 chromatograms recorded as the reaction progresses.
For each chromatogram, peaks are detected, baseline corrected, aligned
and integrated to provide a peak table consisting of the intensities of
19 peaks, two corresponding to the reactants, one to the product and
one to the solvent, the remaining being impurities, by-products or
intermediates. From the multivariate, statistical process control is
applied to the data to determine which samples are out of control and
also provides diagnostic insight into why these samples are problematic.
The Dissolution Chart is best at looking at overall performance issues
such as problems with mixing or difficulties with instrument operation,
whereas the Q-charts are best at detecting impurities during the
reaction.
Model TDT08L on the front-end
Electrolab Dissolution system and the highly productive and fully automated Agilent or Waters HPLC give the best results.
